JD Combs and the Soul Stealers
was established in the late summer of 2004 as an answer to the good yet lacking momentum band Gorbachev, which included JD
Combs and drummer Brandon Josefosky. With a new found urge to playing something different JD suggested to Brandon and friend
Paul Hovey whom had just picked up bass, to create a new band which would ultimately become "JD Combs and the Soul Stealers."
Starting out as just a jam band and playing covers, and waiting to begin writing songs. The first song to be an original would
be JD's version of a classic simple blues riff which became Don't Go to Chicago. JD has written a handful of other songs with a
distinct style and variety. The band's presence has only been felt by a few but hopefully soon the band will be felt by all.
So keep your ears on the watch for JD Combs and the Soul Stealers.
